We didn’t know what a nashi pear was until we had this wine. Actually we still don’t. What we can say is that we’ll know one when we try one. In fact, nashi pear aficionados the world over are grateful for this wine. It has put the nashi pear back on the map, giving it pride of place alongside better known and more entitled fruits, such as the guava, pineapple and passionfruit, all of which are also present here. A note of wisdom? Maybe not, but certainly sage.
